My buddy Doug drew the Henry Mountains Non resident archery tag. He arrowed this 37" buck on opening morning. Mossback located the buck weeks ago and had this buck as the #1 on their hit list. Should score around 220". Gorgeous Buck!
-
Nice.
-
Beautiful Buck-I'll hold back any comment on mossback being involved.
-
Very nice buck!!!
-
Glad your friend had success!
-
Great buck for your friend, Ditto on not commenting on the choice of the guide service.
-
Super buck!!!
-
Great buck but the photo is tarnished with a logo of everything a hunter should never be...
-
Arizona strip 263"

I totally agree that the logo thing is a complete disrespect to the animal and allowing guides to fleece our public resources is a bunch of crap!!!!
The beginning of the end!

My friend is so excited about this buck and the hunt. He most likely would have not got a chance at this buck if he had gone DIY. He had nothing but great things to say about the guide and his experience working with Mossback. I may never be in a position to hire a guide but we all know the guides have thier place in the hunting world and some folks need to use them. Only the negative comments on here have tarnished this buck :hello: I am so happy for my friend!

Monster of a buck. 'Nuff said.
-
Great Buck! No matter what the details are!!!

Tag of a lifetime

Weird comment.
It's unfortunate that people feel like comments posted in this thread need to be made. We wonder why people don't post more stories about their hunts.

Man who wouldn't give their Left "toe"' to draw that tag in the Henrys? super buck.

Tag of a lifetime

I would give the gonad for that tag. Maybe even both of them .

"toe" was used since this is a family site. :chuckle: but gonad was the preferred word

I went for the science approach. ;) and I appreciate your efforts. :)

Buck of a lifetime, congrats to your friend! My only negative comment is Velvet bucks do nothing for me, it's as big a turn off to me as being on a date with the wife and having the in-laws with us. :chuckle: But in no way am I putting his deer or hunt down one bit, thats a great deer. I would have loved to see it all rubbed up! Again, congrats!

Does it look like some photoshopping was done? Guys hands in both pics look off especially the second pic BTW, the animals are special and congrats to the hunters.

It's the angle of the photos. No photoshop. He's holding the deer by the neck and angling his head to the ground.
-
ok, monster bucks and I don't understand longarming.
-
The deer is a stud.
The hunter pursued his best option and earned his deer.
Having letter head on a hunting picture..................Each their own.
I apologize for my previous comments.
-
Wow awesome buck   Congrats to your friend
-
Stud buck! Thank you for posting and tell your friend Congratz!

 Very nice Buck... The buck of a lifetime no matter who you are. My son guided for Mossback for 2 seasons and had nothing but great things to say about the guys who worked for them, including Doyle! No one is perfect, but he enjoyed every hunt he guided, and he is a very standup young man! :hello:
Congratulations to your friend again!
-
A true giant Doug! Hope to see him at the Expo in February with you and Mike.
-
Great buck , looks like he made the most of his tag

And the use of an ultra wide lens. It pulls objects close to the lens to a larger perspective and pushes distant items even further. Exacerbating the "long arming" perspective. Far more tacky than a logo IMHO.
-
Maybe a Wednesday buck..... ha ha
-
I'm confused why the second buck was put up in this thread :dunno:
Was it a one up thing or are they related???
Great bucks without the longarming! :yike:
-
awesome buck and he should have bragging rights for years. Do you know how many bonus points he had to draw??
-
Very big  Hopefully we will get a buck with as much bone as one of those main beams...
-
Dream tag and buck!! Was nice to meet him down in the blues.
-
Some good genetics.
-
Great buck! Negative comments should be removed on all threads showing a legal kill. My :twocents:

:yeah: i dont care what camera they use or angle they hold it you can tell its a giant anyways!
-
Only 1 nonresident tag for this hunt, so I believe Utah ignores preference points and uses raw odds only. If so, his odds were over 700/1. Verified this from Utah Game/Fish website.

Yep, both of em for that tag. Late rifle would be a good one too though.
-
Yup random draw.
