Pretty crazy the quality of deer in that area, especially close to down. Just in the area my parents live, there are numerous shooter bucks to be seen just laying out in people's yards.  :yike:

Is that the Nosler buck?

If not him one of his children, I expect!  Has the similar little front fork on his right side.  Last picture of the Nosler buck I saw I thought he only had a single drop tine on his left side.

Why has no one thumped this buck with an arrow in their backyard? The neighbors would hate me if I lived there  :chuckle:

One is it would be illegal and two he is a celebrity!

People travel from all over to see this buck.  And since he is so well photographed the poacher would have to sneak the horns on a boat headed for North Korea to ever be able to display them without certain prosecution.  Furthermore he is almost tame.  So the poacher would have the same thrill as shooting a free range black angus which I expect is not worth the almost certain jail time.  I've heard during times of full horn growth he has almost 24 hour security too.

Just making sure that was him and not one of his offspring.  I hadn't ever seen him with dual drop times before.

You can't hunt deer in your back yard with a bow when in city limits?
In tri cities guys hunt in city limits with bows for geese.

An acquaintance down there says it's pretty hard getting in the truck, loaded up for deer hunting, and have to drive past that guy each morning.  Everything he sees from that point on just seems small :chuckle:

What if he just throws a rope around the deer and leads it out of town on his way to his hunt or he could hold an Apple out the window  :chuckle:
