The boy( 8 ) and I are heading to the Selkirk's for the opener.
I have a spot around 3600ft and one around 5000ft wondering if the bears will be up that high?

Should have bears there. ate some berries today, so the beats should be Dign them right now and the apples are getn there too. Should be good
-
Good luck to you guys. Bear tag number 2 came in todays mail, I will be extremely picky now.

Lots of deer, a few elk, a tire that went bad on me , but no bear. Did find this 15' away from my trailer when we showed up on sat morning. So we got one in neighber hood

You should scrape that up off the ground, wrap it in a pastry shell and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Let us know how. it tastes!

Look like either cherry , apricots or maybe plums and looking at the skins in the pile I'd lean towards Plums

Those are absolutely not plum or apricot pits. The bear has been eating choke cherries.
-
Yeah, there are no plums or apricots in there. Pits are not big enough and there isn't any skins. But we do have chokecherries close by. Been seeing these in the crap around where iv been hunting and wondered what they were. Headn back up for 10 days come Friday!

Boy he's real black huh. That's cool, over here we have more color phased bears so black ones like that are cool to see
