Don't eat too many of those. Have you ever seen what those Canadians are pouring into the river just upstream. Theres a reason why they are big, sor t of like those Hanford fish. ;)

Very little. Mostly I focused on fishing the Kettle. I did quite a bit of flyfishing at Bailey lake and then abunch at Rocky I think it was called by Colville. One other but I can't think of its name...Rigley, north of Kettle. I did a bunch onthe rez with my little whiteman permit.

Forgive me with this question, but after spending most of my life in Alaska I am a green horn down here. Are the fish in the Sanpoil safe to eat or is this another catch and release fishery.

That's true what Bone states, there was a big hubbub over what was coming down the Columbia from our neighbor in the past, though some positive steps have been taken recently. San Poil should be OK, but I would fish it north of Republic if you want to keep anything. Some of the high mountain streams that go in to the San Poil and Kettle River's I've heard are great fishing. Look for one that is the outlet of a lake.
