Considering going to some extended Invector Plus choke tubes this season. Did you find a significant difference and is there a reason to go with one brand over the other? I can't find much information regarding technology on either. (If this needs to be in Guns and Ammo, please move, didn't see much shotgun info going on over there.) Thanks for any thoughts.

I own both and like both. I don't think you will find disappointment in either one.

I use Carlson tubes for Turkey and pheasant hunting with no issues! I have not used Trulock but the turkey sites I belong to seem to get better patterns with the Carlson chokes!

I use both for sporting clays and for waterfowl. My preference is Truelock they patteren better for me. The Sporting Clays magazine did an comparsion article on tubes a few issues back. The October issue has a article on wad stopper wads, theroy is that you get a better pattern. Keep in mind that shooters have big range of tubes to choose from. :twocents:

I have Trulock tubes for 4 different shotguns and I really like them. I have never used a Carlson so can't speak on them.
I use the extended tubes on my 5 stand 12 ga I only use at the range and in my waterfowl 12 ga. semi auto. Might be all in my head but I am hitting a lot more birds in my guns since I started using them over the factory tubes. Trulock has the comparison targets on their website showing the increase of pellets in the target over factory tubes for several shotguns.
In my 12 & 20 ga o/u I use the flush tubes. Trulock is a great company IMO

I use trulock for my browning maxus and like them. I used to own a remington 1100 20ga and used carlson chokes in it, and they performed well for me too. I think you will like either one.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts. Looks like I need to get a set or two. Sounds like both brands have performed well for some of you so not sure which way I'm going yet. The Carlson's are cheaper but I can't figure out what I am, or am not paying for between brands.
