Title: Okanogan access permit draw results
Post by: Buckblaster on September 06, 2007, 03:58:00 PM: The hunting access permits in Okanogan county were drawn today. Anyone heard of when and how they are going to release the results?

"Area deer-hunting seasons are Sept. 15-30 for bowhunters, Oct. 6-12 for muzzleloaders and Oct. 13-21 for hunters using modern firearms."

I hope someone from the WDFW called the bowhunters at least. Even with that you need the paperwork with you. I sure hope they get their shizzle together next year. This year was pathetic with the re-draw and BS timing.

Post by: wastickslinger on September 11, 2007, 11:49:28 AM: I called the Regional Office in Eprata just now. The lady said the post cards for the winners have been sent. Winners should have received them by now and if not they will by end of week. The non winners will be notified by postcard at a later time. Won't do any good to call because she does not have results. Hope this help a little.

I don't know of any access permits given out for the Okie, just special modfire/ archery tags for the different units. Must not have read the regs completely.

Post by: wastickslinger on September 13, 2007, 02:39:39 PM: Dman. There was a last minute addition after the general draw. It is a piece of land that the Game Department has acquired somehow. They issued like 10 rifle permits, 5 archery and 5 muzz. Did not require points or anything. Just an straight up, every one one chance, draw for additional access to the area. In fact I don't know if we really even know the exact boundaries yet. They said that a map would be sent with the permit.

That is too funny.....but ya know that they did extend the deadline for the cougar/hound drawing.. Everyone was extended as far as I know.

The gal answered the phone, I gave her my wild number, and she said I was in. Wow, that's it. I had images of her doing her nails while talking to me and not really entering anything.
