Hey guys, i want to fletch some of my own flu-flu arrows as a project, and was wondering if they or standard fletchings are better for turkey? expiriences?
thanks!

Those fletchings are specifically designed for shooting flying birds. Turkeys are usually shot one the ground. I'd think you'd want a standard fletching.

Definitely want standard fletching for turkey hunting...unless you plan on head shooting one out of a tree :chuckle:
A lot of different Flu-Flu styles. Basic differences are short, medium and long range. Short range spirals are fun to make, look different and I like them for shooting grouse in timbered areas. Six Fletch 4-5" medium range seem the most universal and what I used to shoot the most for pheasant and quail in open fields. Four fletch 4-5.5" long range are what I used for shooting ducks and geese over decoys when the arrows would become water flowers.
All kinds of variations can be done. All are fun to make and shoot. Try a little bit of everything and make sure you have A LOT of room before testing their flight!! It's a blast
