Title: misplaced my special permit card
Post by: buglebuster on September 18, 2014, 07:29:42 AM
Getting everything ready for my muzzleloader deer hunt next weekend and can't seem to find my special permit card for my 2nd deer tag. Is it that big of a deal to have since I have the tag itself? I know it probably is, so how do I go about getting a new card?

You are supposed to have both the card (permit) and tag.  Contact WDFW to see what is needed to get a duplicate permit card, good luck.

For that I don't see why you would need the card, since you have your 2nd tag which you were only able to purchase after being drawn for that hunt. But then again, how would a game warden know which hunt you drew? That won't be shown on the tag. So I take that back, you probably do need the card.

Try calling 360-902-2515. That's the WDFW in Olympia. I bet they can somehow get you a duplicate. I know one year I never got my card in the mail. I went in to the Olympia office and they printed it out for me, just on 8-1/2 x 11 size paper.

Thanks bobcat! Just called and the gentleman that answered told me the quickest way to get a copy is go to your nearest liscense vendor and tell them you need a replacement permit. They will print you off the same thing except it's on the same paper as your tags, not cardstock. He said it will cost $0.50 dealer fee.
