Title: Public land camping in the Mt Spokane North unit for the youth moose hunt???
Post by: rumhuntr on September 26, 2014, 07:11:14 PM: Where is a good place to camp in the Mt Spokane North unit???? Any suggestions??

Post by: wannabhntr on September 26, 2014, 07:24:11 PM: There is no camping in the Mt. Spokane unit. You can try to get a hold of Wayne (Smitty) at Sutton Bay resort at Newman lake. He has hunters stay at the resort. Otherwise your looking at KOA, RV resorts or hotel/motel.

Not at all accurate. There are many pockets of public land to camp in that unit. Good Luck :tup:

I stand corrected. I wasn't aware that there were "many" pockets of public land. I new there were some pieces of state land but not many. Just trying to be helpful. Maybe you could send him a PM and point him in the right direction.

Post by: elkoholic1 on October 01, 2014, 10:40:58 AM: when i hunted there 2 years ago there's a big turn out on top the little pass there off of the blanchard road that was plenty big to park camper and extra vehicles and was just up the road from theIEP gates :twocents:
