Just wondering if anyone else has found these little round white balls in the meat of salmon. We found this in 2 of the 4 fish today

Does it look like this?

if it is, it is Henneguya zschokkei. It's harmless and won't cause you to become infected.

Most fish have worms in the meat, if you look closely enough. I always hold my filets up to a light to look for darker spots. No big deal though since they are just additional protien. ;) I think I've seen little round balls with just liquid in them though.
I've never seen that many....

Sounds like what is sometimes referred to as "Tapioca Disease" I think there's more than one type of parasite that can cause these cysts. I've found some fish might only have a couple whereas others are so loaded they became crab bait. I don't think it can hurt you, but pretty unappetizing.

Looks like crab bait in those pictures for sure :puke:
