Just got back from there. We have been hunting in and around it for about 6 years. The wetter the weather the better, but that goes for anywhere. It can be difficult to hunt in spots due to the thick blueberries, sometimes acres of them chest high! They just about strip you naked going through them! But the elk are in there! not a lot of them and not real big herds but we always find some. Your best bet is to go in off a forest road paralleling the boundary and getting in there a half mile or so, find an elk trail and just tip toe around, stay away from the trailhead access points, they covered with hikers and horse riders. Every year someone gets a pig in there, we have yet to get a big one, but then again were meat hunters.

Bring a bear tag if you go!

Jason
