:yeah:

We might get another day or two and maybe a few more draw tags.  I don't expect much.  Anything would be an improvement.

I hear ya, I m.l. for elk eastside but have property in oroville that I would like to m.l.deer  for but it is the same time as elk so i am screwed on that one. When I started ml we had a late season, cow areas the whole bit.now we have 7 days thats it, and to put in for muley tag hell you have very few choices for a late season tag, most tags are for the same time as elk.

I'm trying to stay optimistic but I agree I think WDFW has something against ML hunters.  I will continue to hunt ML for deer because I like to hunt and not see anybody else.  It would be nice to get some new areas though.

I would like to see some changes.  Longer early season or more units to hunt?  Different units?  more special permit options?  Or maybe changes to the late season?  Most of the late seasons for general muzzleloader elk suck!

This isn't something that will change over night, but hopefully with some time and new administration this can improve.  Hopefully the adminstration takes the reigns soon, otherwise there will be little to no time to make any changes.

Yeah i think that muzzleloaders are sort of ripped off here where I hunt anyways they only get one weekend(7 days) to hunt I think it should be as long as the rifle season is

Got to say this is one reason I gave up big game hunting. I know it dates me but I remember when ML elk season was a good 2 weeks for any bull in the Cockum. Then a late 2 week hunt for any elk. Ah the good ole days  many times the only person I saw up on the top was the GW and he was normally telling me it might be a good idea to come down a storm was a brewin. 7 years produced i little 2x2 rag horn and 5 nice cows MEAT IN THE FREEZER  :IBCOOL: The last time (3 years or so) I went I had more hunters then elk pass by me but one was a DANDY 5x5 at less then 40 yrds  and not so much as a leaf between him and I  :bash:

I hear they are planning to increase muzzle hunts for deer and elk to 80% of GMUs that will be open either early or late or both.

Well I am thinking here if they need anymore "Master Hunter" seasons... If they do you can be sure that the muzzleloaders will be the ones to give it up to them. Just like all the late season elk hunts and deer hunts we used to have. Now if you check it out Master Hunters have them. We will just have to wait and see if there is anymore need for more master hunter seasons. Just like now basically if you muzzleload like I do for elk, the deer season is at the same time as elk season. Now I donot hunt deer where I hunt elk so no tag for me for deer. I have ONE late season here in eastern washington so why should I buy a muzzleloading deer tag? If someone ever figures out the method or lack of for making these decisions I sure wished they would forward the formula to me. But please remember I am not a rocket scientist so keep it simpple..
