Title: Any one hunting the Yale unit
Post by: Song Dog on September 29, 2014, 08:49:26 PM: My daughter pulled a cow tag for the Yale unit and her best friend has 500 acers :IBCOOL: up against DNR land. We scouted last saturday and located some fresh sign.

It's to easy for people to road hunt that unit or park and do a short hike.

But how many cow tags can you give out in a unit that small year after year after year and expect it to remain a good unit unless you get A BUNCH of snow. Has really been disappointing the past three years. 500 acres!...that's like 30% of the original Yale boundary!!! :chuckle:

Good luck to your daughter. Should be a good level of difficulty for a youth! Just hope one of the cows that are left wanders by her. That would be fantastic :tup:
