Just got a phone call from a buddy of mine saying he was told someone put down a big bull and they think it may be the new state record. This is all the info I have at this moment so I thought I'd see if anyone else has the story or pics
-
Couple different giants have been killed already, both sides of the state. Heard of a 430 ish bull being killed on the eastside from a reputable source.....
-
Was this rumor related to an out of state hunter (Professional Drag Racer) from Texas?
-
My buddy sent me a pic of the monster teanaway bull down, his moms friends son got it. I'd post the pics I got but I'm hoping the hunter posts it.... It's a monster!!!
-
I seen a monster 7x9 that came off the reservation. Not sure if its a new record. :dunno:
-
Tag!....we had an archery bull from NE WA on here that was close......
-
There have been some monsters taken this fall. Several of them really don't want their photos shared either, so I'd be careful out of respect. I don't even know what the state record is now, but there are definatley 400+ inch bulls that have been taken.

If pics are floating around and you havent been asked to not share then i would post away. i have a few different rez bull pics from different tribes i was thinkin about sharing. should i start a thread? and 99% are archery.
-
I guess I don't see the problem with showing off your nice trophy, or your buddy's for that matter. After all we are all on here because we love to hunt and I can say for myself I get enjoyment out of seeing someone's prized animal, wether it's mine or a complete strangers.
I'm new to the forum here, but Im a lifelong WA hunter. Nice to meet you all

Which rez bull are you talking about bhawley76? Why not bigbulls?
-
:yeah:
-
I've put a record amount of miles on my feet . I figure I will set a record for the most miles per inch of horn !
-
Isn't state record 451 for rifle? I think 397 for archery but could be wrong. Either way, anything that is in that class is gigantic. Good luck coach, put one down
-
Anything of 400 would be great to see.
-
think coach has a good chance of getting one around that 400" hes defiantly got the patience and the drive to keep passing these 360-370 class bulls holding out for the "ONE" that tickles his trigger finger good luck coach!!!
-
I heard from my brothers uncles nephews son on his wifes side if the family that he said the pics can be posted
Oh wait I don't have a brother!
:chuckle:
-
There was a 432" gross bull killed in E-WA last week. I have been asked, by the hunter, to not post pictures. I'll stick to that out of respect for the guy. I'd hope the same would be done for me if it were my bull.
-
I don't like to put pics up unless someone says to... I'm hoping the person is a member and gets it up on here.
-
I wouldn't post a pic of my monster on here...There are too many people on this forum with too much time on their hands and start rumors and speculation like a group of junior high girls.
Most of us are very positive and happy for other hunters, but a lot of these threads go down the wrong path and some d-bag starts making up a rumor and before you know it, Fish & Game is at your house with some wild idea of where you actually shot your bull.
-
There is a lot of jealousy over big bulls...especially when "their" bull gets shot

Has that really happened? I guess it wouldn't surprise me a whole lot...talk about a waste of time for f&g!
There are way more bulls taken than will ever be posted on a site like this...and the reasons for not posting are numerous and usually far outweigh sharing. :twocents:

Fishing Heller Bar last weekend and some buddies of mine said they saw a rafter floating out with a huge bull rack on the raft.

Ok thanks. But what is that? I remember that there's a raffle where a hunter can buy $5 tickets for as many as they want but what is "central" about coaches?
-
Info best explained in the Regulations pamphlet. Near the back. A few different raffles one can put in for

Pick 3 out of 5 species on the list and he can hunt all the 300 and 500 GMU's. Pretty sure that's the breakdown.
-
Interesting. That's a new one since my exodus. I think I'll move back now. 8)

Any elk, sheep, deer from sept 1st to dec 31st, plus he has multi for elk and deer. So two elk, two deer and one sheep. His taxi just booked a guided hunt to africa! :chuckle:

A rifle rut tag holder punched his tag last week on a big non-typical bull that should score around 420 BC, I have pictures of this bull the day before it was killed, need to resize the pictures, I have pictures of the young hunter that notched his tag but will let his story come out from him.

-
The current WA State record non-typical is an 8x9 killed in 2008 near Dayton that net scores 436 4/8.
The current record typical is a 6x7 killed in 1990 on the Yakima Indian Reservation that net scores 420 4/8.

We always seem to get the job done! Coach just waits to long with the rock! I have to swing the 2x4 way to much!!

-
Looks like a couple of these bulls aren't really secrets anymore. Excited to see the teanaway bull, have a feeling I've seen him before.

Ya I know who was after it as do you, but someone else got it so that's why the hunter we know took the 6x6 which was still a awesome bull. But the one they were after
-
Do we know if the teanaway bull is the same bull the the driver from Texas shot?
-
It might be less complicated if you think of it in terms of Teanaway BULLS, and not bull. :)
-

That's a westside bull.

Right. 3 permits. 2 studs down as far as I know. Haven't heard if the 3rd tag was filled.
