Long story short, Last day of a 7 day hunt. Mt. Adams Area, Washington Bull... Mass for Days.. Hes kicking himself in the ass for not caping it out.. He did add that it was almost 80 degrees and he needed to get it out so he wouldn't run into Fly problems and spoilage..

Beautiful bull. at least he got the meat out. Any field pictures of him?
-
Awesome bull.

These are just the ones I took, He has some more pic's but i'm not sure if he has any "As he Laid".. And for the record, This was his FIRST ever Elk.. Kinda ruined himself... All the little stuff around the palmated parts was busted up, tips broke off.. along with the third on one side, Guessing he broke off 3-6 inches.. But, He sure does look good still.. Really OLD bull.. Had no teeth left, except for 4 on the bottom, Probably wouldn't of made it through another season.. Lets just say He did him a favor!!

Call around some taxidermy shops have a extra cape. I had to do that once. You just half to think of it as a adopted one

Great bull  Congrats to your bro
-
Good looking bull, congrats to the hunter.

Nice bull, I love the blades and the broken stuff, tells a story about the bulls life.
-
Hes a beautiful boy. He will be a good European mount at least.
-
Absolutely awesome bull

Great bull.
How was he able to hunt Mt Adams? I looked and couldn't find were any of the areas were open for muzzle. I ask cause that's were I wanted to go. Congrats to your brother.

Very cool rack. Congrats!

What a stud! That thing has character for days!
-
That bull is a stud!! There are quite a few bulls of that size this year running around where he got that.
-
Old tough dude for sure! very nice....
-
Don't take this the wrong way, but I hate your brother. Okay, not hate, but certainly envy. That is one amazing bull and will look great however he decides to taxidermy it, but if he wants a shoulder mount it should be pretty easy to get a cape. Congratulations to the hunter!!!

Thanks for all the comments and all the   's .. I cant wait to get into some of these steaks this weekend. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!! and I dont know if I mentioned this in my earlier comments. THIS WAS HIS FIRST ELK!! Im having to resend him pictures it seems like every day for him to send to someone else who wants to see it, and further more I left this out.. He was hunting with his best freind. His friend's ML misfired, So he went ahead and took the first shot. but his friend ending up putting the Final shot in him after it took off and they split up in seperate directions looking for him. He was a tough old *censored*. They both said that when they found him the bull looked at em, mustered up all of its last strength and charged them HORNS DOWN!!.. Later after they were done packing meat and back at camp.. the conversation arose with who would get the head.. My brother put his friendship first and went ahead and gave him the Bull, since he shot first, Spotted it first.. Said he wasn't going to let an animal come in between their friendship. Long story short his friend starting crying (WHich I can understand) Probably one of the most stand up things I've ever heard come from a hunter, let alone my Brother, with a bull of this stature.. He's still HAPPY as HELL!! and cant wait until late season to try and fill his tag..
-
Congrats to them both. I hate stories where buddies get broken up over who "gets" a trophy.
-
Your brother is wise. Good on him.
-
I also think a Euro mount would look great. Congrats to your brother!

How was he able to hunt the Mt. Adams area? Was it draw?
-
Sweet bull!
West klickitat maybe? :dunno:
-
Love the character of that bull! What a great trophy, congratulations!
-
No draw, West Klickitat.. Somewhere around Glenwood.. The Glenwood store FB site posted it as well. He said he felt like a celebrity at the store when they showed up with it on the bag of his rig..
-
Great unique bull, crazy upper mass!
