So next year will be my lady's first year hunting and I want her to start with a bang. I've never purchased a guided hunt for big game as I'm a guide myself and it's kind of a pride thing, lol. That being said it would be really nice to go out of state and have a chance at a representative muley and be on the shooting end of a guided hunt. Looking at Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, or Utah. Any input on outfitters would be greatly appreciated and pics if you were successful please. Thanks guys!

Recommend getting in touch with Bearpaw here on the forum. From the pictures I've seen almost a sure thing for success.

Lol, I guide for bearpaw. Looking for something new. Thank you though. And yes Dale has a stand up operation.

Milk Creek outfitters, MT. But my question is how are you an outfitter if you can't find a nice mule deer yourself? You should have the skills to get your own deer. I would never pay to hunt a deer. Deer are not hard to get. I recommend you do some more scouting and save your green. COME ON MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know , first deer , hunting with family I would think it wouldn't have to be a trophy to be special.

Well considering that he is a guide for Dale, chances are he's probably pretty busy here in WA during our seasons. To go out of state with likely limited time it sure seems to me to be a reasonable idea to hire a guide in the area he wants to hunt. Also, because he guides does not necessarily mean he guides for Mule deer. For all any of us know he guides for turkey or Whitetail. Both entirely different than Mule deer. :twocents:

Yes, thats right, just not enough time most years. I do hunt mule deer, in fact its my favorite. Just looking to do something different. I understand deer are not hard. Thats not why were taking a trip. Its to relax and get her into a lot of deer in new country. Thank you for the input guys.

Why not WY pronghorn. Great first hunt. Lots of decisions to make and great stalks to complete and you could do it yourself.
