Here are some pics. you can get them or alter them into any idea or pose you want.
-
another one
-
That last mount is the one I would do. They're all great but the last pose looks like one I had at 25 yards without a gun. No fun.
-
very nice i really like the one of it on the branch! the last one is cool to would look good on the wall with the rocks! i dont quite have the room for a pedistool in my house lol
-
Well when I get one. I just seen three pics of the guy I'm going to have do it. Those are just pieces of art :yike:
I like the third pic the most
-
I did this one last year.
-
WOW! Awesome job guys! Wish I could have done a full mount on mine, but turns out this year was a first for my bear, then shot a cougar, then filled my second bear tag with a nice chocolate sow.
What luck. I know it good luck, but it's gonna break me, and cause tension with the wife.
I love her!. I'll settle for rugs. :IBCOOL:

If you like the laying down mounts here's a couple.
-
look nice Ric!

I'll add this. The cougar is the hardest animal to bring back to real life. Choose your taxi wisely. There have been some great examples of quality mounts so far in this thread.

You mean like a cross-eyed cougar? :chuckle:

I am a huge fan of the cougars lying down. If I ever get one it will be on a branch head up. Good luck and can't wait to see the finished product.

I used Rick at Cedar River Taxi for mine. It looks just about the same as the 2nd one he has posted above laying on the rock bench. It's a awsome mount. It gets lots of compliments

Agreed. Choose wisely, all he mounts in this thread look amazing. I've seen some terrible cat mounts, it takes a special artist to make them look right. A cat mount is all in the face, apparently a tough thing to master.

This is my cat. I like this type of mount as they are more natural.
I do not care for the mean look. This cat is 152# and was weighed.
I feel that this type of mount is also a more tasteful pose for persons that do not hunt or are on the line,
and not one way or another.
Also showes the cats true size.
Take it for what it is.
Just an opinion and my likes.
