Well, took the wifey's new sled out today for a little break-in (while she was at work, he he), well actually I was looking for kittys too. Ran across a nice track heading down into a drainage, followed it for about 2 mi. and then he bailed off down in some really nasty, so I gave up and kept looking. Went up the road another mile or so and cut some more tracks...turns out it was a female with 3 cubs! I've never seen one with that many cubs before so it was cool. Anyway, suppose to be some more new snow this week, so I'll try it again. I'm going to walk one down this winter if it kills me....wait let me refrase that. I'm going to walk one down this winter....
Saw lots of bobcat and coyote tracks as well, oh by the way, the elk are finally starting to move down...figures only a month late.

got within 15 yards of bobcat this morning. Probably could have shot it, but it was a really small one, maybe only 15-18lbs. Been seeing a lot of bobcat tracks lately, but no more lion tracks. Hopefully next week when things quiet down I can get back after them.
