Title: Kwik klip conversion
Post by: jdb on October 30, 2014, 08:02:54 PM
So I'm in the process of modifying my model 700,(for the third time.) I'm really trying to keep the weight down. So I'm thinking about doing a kwik klip conversion but not sure if the klip would be lighter than the standard drop floor magazine? Any opinions?

My dad put one on his 700BDL in .300 Win Mag, unfortunately I dont have the original floor plate so I can't compare the two but I dont think it would save you any weight.
The two magazines for it have worked well enough but they haven't been treated rough either so I have no idea how they hold up long term.

:) :)My brother and I both got a one installed on the same day, Rem 700's. I think they would be heavier than standard. I hated mine, he loved his, mine was loose fitting and rattled.
