Title: Any bears taken from GMU 418?
Post by: heronblu on October 31, 2014, 10:21:02 PM
Well I struck out this year with deer so I'm putting all my eggs in the bear basket. I was curious if anyone harvested bear from GMU 418 this year yet. I saw a ton of bear early in the season but I held out until the weather cooled down and they all went elsewhere in the meantime. What are they eating this time of year? Berries are all gone except for a few stray blackberries. Do they go back to cambium feeding after everything else dries up? I'm new to bear hunting and would love to fill the freezer. Thanks!

There's still plenty of berries in the high country. Bears too.
