Hey guys
I think I remember a thread on weather and elk movement, I was in 651 today and it was coming down like a cow pissing on a flat rock.
My question is how does the rainy weather effect there movement ? i went high then low and stayed close to the tree line. do they bed? limit there movement?
I plan on being out everyday any help would be appreciated because it looks wet all week
Thanks

They are elk, they are where they are. :twocents:

Rain doesnt effect them to much. The wind can get them to hunker down but eventually they gotta eat.

i have found there movement to be very sparatic they will move a lot and than not much at all. but they will still get up 2-4 times a day to feed and stretch out there legs. so if you can locate them and you can't get a shot ,bed them let them lay for a bit and crawl as close as you can and just wait for them to get up and move . then just hope
