I shoot a Mathews switchback, I have been using a beman black max arrow the last couple years and I've finally got down to only three arrows left. In the past when I get to this point I buy 3 dozen new arrow so they last me a while. So this is the question: What is the best arrow on the market for hunting? Why?

That is a great question. I think its matter of personal choice. I have always used Beman ICS hunters with 2" razor vains and a shuttle T-lock broadhead. It sure did the trick this year. My buddy and I use the same setup and both our deer went about 10 yards and were on the ground. :IBCOOL:

Nothing wrong with what your using, if they shoot well for you! My humble input would be to not rule out the Easton Axis Nano's. The static spine in those little buggers is very consistent, and that makes for consistent broadhead flight across the dozen. Add to that the fact that I shoot thousands and thousands of shots in a year from the same Switchback and I still am on the same dozen since I can't seem to break them and you've got a viable candidate. The rest of the info on them you already know from the Cabela's magazine. For me, they live up to the advertisement more than most other archery equipment has. Again, that's only if you're looking for a change.

Easton axis nano w/blazers by far the best arrow I have ever shot....
Ive tried carbon express,GT,and carbon tech(also a good arrow),

Anyone have experience withe the Easton Full Metal Jackets?
I have the Easton Axis Sti but about to switch it up...short on arrows too?
are they better than the NANO?

I use the full metal jacket Dave. I wouldn't shoot any other arrow.

both are great arrows but the axis is in fact stronger the the FMJ and lighter... so if you dont mind compromising the speed and want to shoot just a little weaker arrow overall then go FMJ....

I use the Beman ICS Hunters I think they are 340's, they have done me well and dropped all my animals without a hitch :twocents:

I have been shooting the Gold Tip for several years and love them with a field point. As for broadheads I have a hell of a time with accuracy. I'm thinking of switching to eastons this next year. The GT Pro Hunters that I use are around $100 to $120 depending on the store. What are the Easton Axis running?

I don't know that I would say for certain that the Axis shafts are stronger than the FMJ's... They are straighter because of the aluminum, and will have more KE because of the weight. Good arrow choice! :chuckle:

They are stronger in the fact that if you dent the aluminum you compromise the strength of the arrow..id say more times then not something that would dent the FMJ would leave the n fused just fine.....
