XXX Wallis came to pick up his beef today here.  He told me that Pam Floyd had two big wolves in her yard this week and her three dogs one of which is 170 lbs stood their ground against the wolves.  She watched it from inside the house.  The three dogs stood side by side in defense of the property against two big wolves.. Said the wolves were snarling and growling at the dogs and the dogs were barking face to face at the wolves. The wolves appeared to recognize they were outnumbered and turned and left.  It appears those wolves have taken a liken to Poorman creek in the last year.

Poorman was one of the drainages I was going to check out during my late muzzy tag. Do you know if they have seeing them in there a lot this fall?

I think you would have a hard time finding a place to hunt in the Methow where the wolves are have not been hitting the deer. I do know that last week four wolves were seen in Alder cr above the FS corrals which is just over the ridge from Poorman cr. and the week before three wolves were seen just past the Lost river bridge at Robertson cr.
