On my latest trip out I flushed a pair of grouse. I did not get either of these winged devils but it was fun none the leas :chuckle: my question though is this, how many times will a bird be flushed till it moves to a new area? Thanks in advance 8)

Grouse get flushed in the woods by many things other than humans. This is why the will fly into a tree and thing all is ok. If they are not constantly harassed or shoot out completely you should be able to find them again. The area held grouse for a reason.

K thanks for the put! Next time should I push for a second flush or let them be if I don't get them on the first try?

Push them till you kill them or they fly to another zip code. Grouse are dumb birds that never go to fare from where you flush them.....unless they coast to the bottom of the mountain in really steep country.

That's good to know  I plan on taking a few days and burning some boot leather :) hopefully I'll have better luck now that I know I can push them as hard as I want! Thanks for the wisdom
