Which one of you was in rack mode??? :chuckle:
-
Lol. Awesome.
-
Look's like someone was doing a lot of tail chasing :chuckle:
-
Wow, they remodeled. On a side note do you need a discovery pass to park there?
-
Lol, that's the wrong kind of buck for that place ;)
-
Its to bad few ruin it for the few that care about hunting. Pretty tasteless only creates division.

Whatever! I'll strap a deer I killed, not the sugar coated pansy "Harvested" on top of anything I please. I can careless what others think. When I start a Anti-Soybean fan club and the weak kneed, left, leaf licking, bunny hugging, tree humping panssies catter to me. Then I may entertain one of their simpleton thoughts. Cracks me up! They will sit stuffing some version of pork, beef or chicken in their face and look in shock at a dead game animal but don't have the intestinal fortitude to kill what their eating. I can live without those weak types.
Just a thought. :)
Nothing like some T&A after a successful hunt! ;)

OOOOOOHHHHHH DEAR !!!!!!!!! :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

Its N Idaho....not to many people probably care.

Now theres a classy comment.

Now theres a classy comment.
Meaning...if this was in the greater Seattle area....it may draw a little more attention.

Meaning the comment made by Bighammer

Yeah screw what everyone in ID thinks about my horrible choice not to skin a buck before I went for some tna.....
How dumb are some people. I killed this buck! Yeah now take care of the meat!
These type of folks are already divided from my life let alone as hunters. So to say this type of thing is tearing the hunting down is bs. Like these type are ok before they just decide some tna is ok on a whim ? Yeah right.

My first thought was, "dear god get that thing skinned out!" The only thing disrespectful is not treating the meat properly. His next stop is probably the butchers to make it all into pepperoni...
-
There is a thing about public perception. While you might not care what people think when you have your animal hanging off the hood or top of your vehicle. When it comes to passing things like bear baiting or hound hunting people remember those negative perceptions. :twocents:
-
I agree. And for there answer to be "I'm a MAN!" Is a joke. I don't prescribe to any hippie rhetoric. But I don't use them as an excuse to be wasteful. I used to hear that kind of thing a lot. Just an excuse to not worrie about yourself and blame things on another's choices in life.
But division was in reference to us as hunters. And no I don't agree this doesn't divide us as hunters. The antis and non hunters have plenty of ammo these type give them all the confirmation they need.
-
I wouldnt worry about the meat if it was recent..its been frigid here
-
Amen BigHammer! Well said.
I do agree with Sky though. Not enough of us around to pass things like baiting Bears or Hound Hunting. We are out numbered.
I mean just the simple open carry in this state isn't praticed much because of public perception. I get some weird looks, even in full camo headed out of the woods when I stop for gas or whatever and still have my hip holster with .45
Fricken yuppies
-
Cause open carry is not the preferred method of packing. Most like to have it concealed so the perp wouldn't have a clue till bang. I get weird looks if I open carry too. Just seems contradicting to have it out to be seen.
-
I agree with BIGGERHAMMER, plus, there are a lot of pansy hunters too.
-
I don't think we have had above freezing temps in a week and a half
-
its funny, when i was young i did everything it took for everyone in the world to know i connected on a deer or whatever i was huntn, including bobcats, cougars, bear, whatever, i had hounds and i sure miss it... now that i am 42, i do whatever i need to to make damn sure know one knows i connected unless i am damn sure its another hunter, i think in ten years we may have no huntn seasons left, pictures like this just make it to easy for the non huntn community to lean towards the liberal bunny loving tree huggn jacknobs way of thinking, aint nothing wrong with being proud of your kill, but seriously parking outside a bar with a dead deer on the top of your rig isnt helping ... dont care what state its in....
-
Complete disrespect for the animal. I don't agree with strapping it on top of your rig and parading your kill around. Just an inflamatory act usually by those that need their ego stroked and love to hear how great they are. Its about respect and none is shown here at all.
-

:yeah: The Anti's have made up there mind, almost no changing that. It is the people on the fence that we need to show class for.
-
I hear what some of you are saying, but I just brought a buck home from Idaho last weekend on top of my explorer. Not something I'd normally do, and not trying to brag or show off. That deer smelled so strong of urine, and had hundreds of ticks on it. It was not coming inside the rig. Went straight home to hang and process it. Stopping at a strip club with a deer on the roof is what I find tasteless. :twocents:
-
You ever think it might be one of the showgirls who didn't have time before her shift?

I am going to have to agree 100% with this post. I hunt in a Ford Escape, (the wife wont let me hunt in the Camaro). I carry a tarp with me to lay out in the back, BUT if there are a LOT of ticks, that sucker goes on the roof. I do head straight to the processors, (or home if after hours) but no way is that going into the car that we use all the time (and my dog rides in) full of ticks. I am also not going to stop hunting just because I don't have a "secret" way to get my KILL (NOT harvest) home.
-
If you skin and quarter a deer it will fit into two coolers and the ticks stay in the woods. You also end up with a MUCH better quality product.

I'm with ya here...I have mine and my dads from this weekend on top but I went straight hone with them to get then skinned out....if I had a truck they would go in back but I don't at the moment and I don't want blood, ticks, and piss all over inside. My first big 4pt blacktail I had on top of my rig and I drove it around to my families after I got it...it was the first 4pt any of us got....yeah I was young and dumb but was damn proud of this animal....and no none of the meat was ruined every last bit was ate. Now if I don't have a truck with me they just get thrown on too and straight to the garage....it probably helps being in a small hunting community and I get WAY more thumbs up than anything else...as long as were respectful about it I don't see the big deal....now parking in front of a strip club with it on top that's disrespectful to that animal and chance it going to waste for some entertainment
-
huntin for doe eyes and bear asses
-
Look closer, it is skinned.
-
I see open carry as a deterrent the same as the cops policing a neighborhood. Avoiding an issue in the first place is the best route to go in my opinion.
-
Look closer, it is skinned.
You're right, don't think I have ever seen a skinned deer on top before. Maybe he was just stopping in for directions to the butcher's shop.
-

There are a lot of assumptions being made in this thread. He could be picking up his daughter from work. He may have seen the car of a friend and was stopping to show off his buck. He might of needed to use the bathroom. Maybe it's been a long day and he's having one shot to get his feet back on the ground.
I do think that if you live on the wetside, a little discretion and sensitivity may be in order when transporting your animal home from the woods. But northeastern WA on the ID border? I'd be worried if I didn't see deer on top of cars regularly during hunting season. No one knows the situation behind this picture. All I know is one thing: nice buck. :dunno:

P-man.....sorry, you are way way off base! He could be swing by to pick up his mom from work? Second cousin maybe because they have a date later on after her shift? Maybe he is out of meth and needs a bump? Maybe he is actually a hunter pimp? Lots of assumptions yes....
:chuckle:
-
Maybe she had to get to work?
-
Some friends of mine hunt Montana every year and one of their traditions is the night before they come home they hit a strip club. Last year they hit it on their way home with 3 rigs and 10 deer in full display. They have a pic similar than that one with their rigs in front of the strip club with all the bucks poking their heads out. :chuckle:

Classic!

I think you guys have it all wrong, he was showing his wife that was at work that he really did get his deer.
Or his soon to be wife that he can provide for her. :lol4:
-
Maybe he was trying to barter his deer for store credit :chuckle:
-
I wonder if they tried to stuff that "buck" into a stripper's g-string?
"Nooooow on stage 2 is Bambi!"

In that neck of the woods, I bet a backstrap in the G-string will get you a lap dance!
-
Now that's some useful information!!!! I wonder that a whole hind quarter....... Nevermind. :chuckle:
-
Surprised the internet police haven't ran the license plate number and contacted the owner of the vehicle to ask them some questions? :dunno:

forget the outside pics. I want to see what's on the inside. Buck Naked!

No way. Regardless of his avatar, he's afraid of girls.
-
There it is! "Hunter pimp".
-
I see nothing wrong with this picture :dunno: although I would not have skinned it due to dirt and oils on highway.
-
Not much different than a hitch haul IMO :dunno:
-
Look closer, it is skinned.
It is not skinned, clearly see the hide attached
-
Either way it looks pretty rank....wastage violation right there.
-
To bad makes hunters look like morons >:( I myself think its a shame but that's me.Who knows he might of been stopping by to get a friend or???? Its just bad taste :dunno:

I THINK YOU GOT IT RIGHT
-
I don't think we have had above freezing temps in a week and a half
Doesnt mean that you could have cooled that meat off quicker with skin off and then put it in truck to keep if from freezing....Just saying
-
I would totally do that
its very likely a staged photo op situation as in....
"I wonder how many of them huntwa guys will lose their minds when they see this" :chuckle:
-
I don't think you can say for sure this deer wasn't taken care of. It's gutted, which, with the temps being what they have been, the meat should be fine. As for displaying the deer, I don't think it hurts as much as some think. In fact, the fact that we hide our deer all the time, we are killing the culture. Let a kid see a dead deer now and then. Heck, he/she may end up a hunter. I remember the first time i saw some hunters in Idaho with 2-3 dead deer, I was shocked. Being from Tacoma, and not coming from a hunting family, it was an eye opener.
If you're worried about the anti hunting segment getting ammo, then you probably shouldn't put pictures on websites, since they are using those against you, too. Heck, when my kid was in kindergarten, I got permission from the teacher to let him bring horns to school, along with some photos. The more we expose and tell our story, the better. Be proud that you hunt, and stand up to the *censored*es that want to take it away.
-
Well now those girls have something else to laugh at because its so small. Poor guy.
-
I would do it. Except for the non skinning, I get the hide off as soon as possible.
-
Man, you coastal boys are a little sensative aren't ya :dunno: :chuckle:
-
I think its a little weird he didnt skin it. Its so much easier when its somewhat warm still. But being from Idaho, not really a surprise,my elk and deer cant be hidden in the back of my truck because they are so massive, so everyone sees!!!
In my dreams.

I must have better picture software than you... Skin clearly off from neck down on top side. Plus looks like legs skinned to knee joint, there does appear to be hair under it at parts...
-
you do realize that its been in the teens for over a week straight? The meet is probably frozen...
-
I agree with all the responses, but here are some numbers for everyone to consider.
Washington population as of 2010 6,724,000
Licensed individual hunters in 2010 190,000
Anybody see a problem? Numbers are rounded.
-
:yike: Now that's how you know your red neck! :chuckle: Gettin tail, and chasing tail, ALL IN A DAYS WORK! That's a classic Spokane postcard. Lol hahaha :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :dunno: :sry:

Thats what i mean by division.... Numbers don't lie. If they can take our guns (594) they sure the hell can take hunting too. Like i said its a few tasteless people that will ruin it for Washington eventually.

:yeah: that is the last thing to worry about :chuckle:
It's so nice shooting a deer in sub-freezing temps

:yeah: It was in the teens so the meat is most likely fine since its gutted. Also why would you skin it if you still had to drive home and didnt have an enclosure to protect the meat from road grime? I always have a tarp in my truck to wrap around my deer after skinning to protect it from all that junk on the ride home but the times I havent and its below freezing I keep the hide on to protect the meat. Seems silly not to.
