Supposedly Wolves are being "Managed" right now... and in the best interest of all. I think most of us would argue that "Management" is severely lacking.
My version of Management is the trapping, collaring and documenting of wolves and Killing of those that cannot stay away from people.
We could have had an Experienced trapper paid for with private funds but it was deemed inappropriate for the Cattlemen association to hire and pay for an experienced trapper instead of one blessed by the WDFW. I think experiences is more important that a degree, especially when a "degree" could have ridden in a truck and learned something from experience.

I agree. I like that there is some message being delivered, but I think it could have been a bit more subtle... sometimes less is more. I don't think there are that many people "on the fence" anymore. Probably more people who have been ill-informed by environmentalists, biologist, the USFWS and fraudulent state game agencies, and since mainstream media won't tell the truth, this is the next best thing. :tup:

I think most aren't on the fence. I think the issue isn't even on their radar, and won't be until some initiative comes along.
Most have bigger problems in their lives to worry about.

Many people dont think about owning a gun or getting training until they are robbed, assaulted, raped, or shot at. IMO the key is making people FEEL the effects of the problems. Some people have to be hit in the head with a problem before they realize one is there!
People in Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, Vancouver, and Spokane are more likely to be robbed, assaulted, or shot at than ever be adversely affected by wolves. They worry more about pit bulls and child molesters.
It's sort of like bringing up Hunt-WA to them. The reply you'll get is "hunt what?"
The issue is far from being a priority or a worry for most people. They'll vote on an initiative based on emotion, not facts or practicality, and if anyone thinks that isn't coming think again. Michigan's anti-wolf hunt initiatives passed this month, the only reason it's not a catastrophe is because of legislative action that took wildlife management out of the hands of voters. It was a symbolic win for HSUS at best. It wouldn't be if it came to a vote here today.
