I filmed this buck in the same place, same hour of the day, exactly one year later. Last year I think he was Septembers buck in the calendar. He didn't make the final cut this year.

That is a monster frame :yike:

FWIW, he would make my cutting table, first time go.
Great shot as always Bone.

Its crazy to see a deer in the same spot almost to the minute a year later. Last year he had a score of doe with him. This year he was on the move. Coincidence put me in the same spot at the same time. I just happened to be thumbing through my journal when I noticed it was the same time. Here he was last year. Now that the Calender year is about over, I will try to find some more photos of him. Very pretty deer.
This is the September (calendar shot) of him last year. Looks like his eyeguard might have changed a bit, but you can certainly see how he expanded. He was broke off on the side that looks like a three.

How much do you think he expanded......6 inches maybe?
-
His forks look a tad deeper, and he appears wider.... to bad that Rt fork is messed up... sure is a dandy.
-
You aren't kidding, very pretty buck

I am guessing 3.5 last year with awesome genetics. He fits at 4.5 this year by general feel of the buck. I could be off a year easily. NEXT YEAR at either 5.5 or 6.5 he could really PEAK!!!!

Looking from my phone... Is that a broken tine? Double eye guard on his right? It'll be interesting (if that's a broken tine), to see how that grows next year. (Remember a discussion about antler growth memory.)

He broke it post growth. I don't think the memory applies. I need to look at more pics from this year to get a better thought of his eyeguards.

what a great stud buck he should be a real bruiser next year!

Man bone all these bucks that don't make your calendar are gonna need mental health treatment! :yike:
One year I'm in his calendar the next not what are the does gonna think? I'm just a loser buck with no Bone. :chuckle:
Well maybe the dems will get the bummer care going for animals. :chuckle:

Wow, if that buck is not making the calendar... Bet you he'll make it next year. Better set your clock for exact day and time. Pretty buck
-
I should have bogarted his pic until next year just in case I don't photo 12 of them next year. :chuckle: I guess that's the risk. I really appreciate the support from those that do enjoy my calendar. Hopefully I do get him next year on film, and I assure you am contemplating just that. I saw that a couple times this year including Mr. Cover buck. Seems insane.

Toad by my assessment. This year is a great shot of him.
