So Iv been looking to improve my system in order to sit longer. I dont want to buy more camo and would prefer to stick with my layers and a camo shell. Iv been looking into coveralls or some sort of insulated suit. At an old job I had I worked in a freezer and I see you can buy the suits that I used to wear. Just worried about the noise of it rubbing. Turned off by carhart/walls/etc due to weight and stiffness. Really looking for a basic quilted suit, or something along that lines. Anyone have any suggestions along those lines or any other tips and tricks for staying warm?

I find the best way to stay warm is to add layers after I get where I'm going and going to be sitting. getting dressed befor I get to warm accessing my stand and get cold much faster.
In really cold weather(sub zero) I wear wicking long under wear including a T-shirt, a fishermans knit sweater(high collar), polar fleece vest, and wool bibs. I have a fanny pack, that carries my essentials including chemical hand warmers. To the pack I strap a down jacket and a pair of breathable, wind/waterproof over pants(light weight full length side zipper nylon) and a pair of insulated over boots(if I'm using the same stand I just hang the over boots there and not pack them around).
When I arrive I put on the wind pants and jacket, put a couple hand warmers in the overboots get comfortable and good insulated hat is a must.
This is the down jacket I use.

Might look into volt heated clothing....pretty nice to go walk in comfy...adjust your comfort as you get colder...then readjust for the walk out all with out taking off loads of layers

Wool bibs should work fine with layers under them, I have used them sitting before on the wet side in snow on cold clear days and have been just fine.
