Title: Eastside Steelhead Reports
Post by: TeacherMan on December 20, 2008, 06:38:57 PM
Anyone been out fishing the eastside Rivers Yet?

I'm thinking of going to the Tucanon this week but I don't know if it is frozen. I don't really want to take my boat because of the poor weather conditions. If that is frozen where would you be fishing on the eastside with out a boat?

thanks, if I can return the favor to you with something else I will.  ;)

Tucannon would be difficult to fish...a lot of ice.  I was out for a drive this am and it was below 0 in places above Starbuck.   Have you fished along the road above the Goose from the bank? or just below the mouth of the Tucannon along the road in the Snake?

Mouth of Snake is at Burbank..is that what you mean?  I meant in the Snake River at the mouth of the Tucannon.

I have never fished either actually. One of my buddies in the past had done really well at the mouth of the Tucannon. He parked at a little park he said and walked toward the mouth where it dumps into the Snake. I think its closed above the dam, could be wrong.
