My dad's is a hawg....but don't think it makes 120". I will check later, I had it scored many years ago.
-
love these blacktail threads!
-
First picture is a bow kill from 1993. He cored 125 non typical and 116 7/8 typical. He field dressed 200 pounds. Second picture, I do not have any stats on him. He field dressed 196 pounds and was taken on Fort Lewis in 1981.
-
This Washington coast Blacktail is a long way from 120, but I thought I would post it for a perspective. It scored 103 3/8 gross and field dressed at 202 lbs. Biologist aged it at 7.5 years. A 120 Blacktail is a monster!
-
129 and 3/8 three by three
-
I agree, I'd compare a 120 blacktail to a 180 mule deer. 120 is a big blacktail
-
One on left 121..one on right 143 and change
-
Here are the pictures of my dads big blacktail......I am trying to find the paperwork that shows the score. I will update when I find it.
Found it.....It grossed 120 5/8 (so I guess it does deserve to be in the thread) and net was 108 0/8.

The shoulder mount deer sure looks like the higher scoring Buck. :dunno:
nope, it really shows how a head mount is nicer and picture doesn't do it justice... I didn't get the right shoulder mounted.. here is the camp pic of the one on right for more perspective...
-
WOW! I would have gotten that one wrong 10 times out of 10! Awesome bucks. Are they Washington bucks?
-
yes they are... and I will tell you, I didn't get this one mounted as I had seen thru the years several in the area that were bigger... they are out there..... timing is everything.. this one was 3 days into the no trespassing ban on all timber lands due to fire threat a couple years back that lasted from before archery into rifle season.. he made the mistake of not going into nighttime mode for seasons....
-
Very nice. I always seem to find my bucks fairly close to home in areas that most people drive/walk right past. Either the areas don't get hunted because the brush is too thick or people don't think the bigger bucks hang around the more populated areas. :dunno:
-
170 4/8"
-
beauty, long tyne non typ....
-
There is that buck again :yike: thanks for posting again Stevo👍

All you need is that one! If I were you I would hang it up and concentrate on fishing

Right? I'll never do better. Focusing on fishing would be a good idea!
-
I took a bunch of photos of this deer in velvet in July 2010, Hunted the same area during modern firearm, and took this other deer, 145-5/8
-
Wow, a lot of incredible blacktails on this thread!
According to my very unofficial score, my buck from this year just makes the cut at 120 1/8 (7" deducted).
Outside spread is 20", tip to tip is 14 7/8", and H1 is 5" on both sides. I counted the second point on the right side as abnormal, since it does not stem the right direction to be a G2. Not sure if that is correct or not.
-
The first one ruff score 125" the second 118". The third is only 110" with 5 7/8 -5 5/8" bases. The forth is my sons 2014 buck ruff score 121" the second buck was 218 lbs at the butcher . The two point was aged at 9-10 years old
-
Can some one turn the pics dam phone won't let me. Thanks
-
My 1983 buck killed near Forks, never got it officially scored, but rough taped it at 140". The cape sure has faded over time.

Nice bucks... Congrats to all. I don't think any of my biggest would make the 120" mark. Someday

I love these blacktail threads. This one is 135 0/8 net typical and 155 2/8 gross non typical with 19 scoreable points and a 20.5 " inside spread.
-
This is my uncle Zach, he took this fella just a few weeks after I was born. it made a huge ruckus over there. he had it mounted but lost the mount and the newspaper in a fire a few years back, but lucky for us I had this cut out in my baby book lol. a special day for him and a long family tradition for all of us.
-

Just a quick note on this deer, the mount was done in 1983 so over the years the sun has taken a toll on it. amazing how it has faded over time.
