Title: Colorado monster field pic.
Post by: Buck Rub Jr on December 16, 2014, 05:02:28 PM
Surprised I haven't seen this buck on here yet, but it's already been posted and I just haven't seen it. For inquiring minds, he was takin this year and supposedly going top 10 all time non typical. 308" No guide. Public land. Wasn't a legendary deer like Goliath or Popeye as far as I know. Just a smart old buck that got caught by a hunter out looking for meat to put in the freezer!

Everything is impressive about that buck. I like the fact that there's only 3" in deductions on that giant frame! I'd probably poop myself when I walked up to that beast on the ground.

300+ inches, but only 3" in deductions!  That is the most symmetrical deer I have ever seen.  Amazing.

It is, but the net score only has to do with the four point frame. All the trash is just thrown on top of the net frame.

So that is how the scoring works.  I didn't realize that.  Thanks.

Strip all the junk off and just look at the basic frame.  Incredible buck right there, and then you add in like 22 extras!  Incredible buck for sure.

And he did it in blues jeans and a flannel shirt-jac.  Didn't need a $1000 outfit and 5 guides to get it done.   Kudos to him.  Easily my favorite buck the year...

I can't imagine what would be going through my head if I saw that rack cresting a hill in front of me.

First would be "don't mess myself" and second would be "please Lord, don't let me miss!"

There has been some inaccurate info on this buck and this video sets everything straight.
I don't think a better guy could have harvested this buck.

Great story about the hunter and his family! I think I would have a replica hanging on my wall for kinda money, $250.000 no hesitation at all. He would always go down as the hunter who killed it.

:yeah: Seems like a good dude, but I would have paid off my house if I killed that pig.

Real neat story.

If I shoot one like that, feel free to e-mail me your bids as I would have sold it for 1/10th what he was offered.
