Title: School me on .308 / AR10 / R25 ammo
Post by: jrebel on December 19, 2014, 03:33:28 PM
So....1/10 twist out of a 20 inch barrel.  Best weight bullet for accuracy?  I will probably end up reloading at some point, but until then what ammo has worked for you out of your AR 10 platform?

Probably be using for deer, bear and coyote.

Thanks

Johnny

150 grain corelock bullets shot great out of mine. I had 2 R25's. I still have one but it's a Frankenstein now :chuckle: The other 308 I kept pretty factory other then the trigger. I don't have it any more. It was a great rifle but it hardly got used.

I had the best luck with 168g CT bullets. The Remington factory stuff I bought to burn to get the brass but it shot it all 1" or better. My hand loads with the 168 ct bullets Would run around 1/2".

With a 10 twist you should be able to stabilize any weight. Anything from 150 to 175 should work well among others...
