Got my first yote of the season. Woke up this morning and this little bugger with in my front pasture at about 175 yds. Pulled out the wife's 7mm-08 and dropped it dead. nice coat on that one. White tipped tail too
-
Just curious..does the white tip mean anything in particular or is it just a preference to some?
-
I just like it. And it's not real common in my area. I'd guess 1:6 or so. I call em a 2pointer lol
-
Nice
-
Does that white have anything to do with age?
-
No I've shot pups with white tips and old flat toothed dogs too
-
one from a few months ago

I'm surprised to see that the 7mm didn't do more damage. I would have thought the whole fur would have been wasted.
Nice job. I hope you can do something good with it to remember the occasion. :)

EJWright- What are you feeding that shotty? What kind of range?
-
Huntingfool7- I had winchester supreme elite line. The extended range hi density coyote load, they are 3 inch, 1 3/8 oz. blend of I'm not even sure, I had awesome results on paper out to 40 yards, then they start to spread out too much for my comfort. I shot that coyote at 15-20 yards and it was surprisingly clean and lethal, coyote dropped 5 feet from where I shot her, also within 10 seconds the cry stopped. I would recommend them for sure!
-
Very nice indeed.
-
Last coyote I killed was at about 10 feet with a load of #5 pheasant load to the face. Didn't go far :chuckle:
-
That was probably super exciting!
