Did that cow only have one leg
-
Did that cow only have one leg
Yes she only had 3. I don't think she will make it because she couldn't move real fast, but she was getting around :(.
-
The Bull 340. Did you name the cow Ilene?........ :chuckle:
-
Good deal 270, you just saved me time this afternoon from having to run up there and snap some pics for the boys. There are two really nice ones there and some not quite so big.
-
Ya there was the big 8x7 a big 6x6 and one more that was too far to get a good pic of. The 6x7 was right past the junction at the Y. A 5x5 was feeding with the cows. Then the big boy came trotting over and the 5x5 ran off :tung:. It was kinda funny. I went over to get some sheep pics but they were too far up the hill :(.
-
Nice pics 270, special thanks from all of us wetsiders to you, bone, and Klickriverchromer for getting all these pics on here, it saves us a real long drive.
-
I love typical racks :P
-
Great pictures and thanks for posting. That big 8 x 7 has some incredible 3rd's!!!!
-
The Bull 340.

One more. This little guy still had spots :yike:. Not sure if many of these little guys make it throught the winter. This was the only one I saw though.

i think its the same bull you had a few pics up, but i couldnt stop taking pictures of him. i loved the way he looked, and he was so chill coming up to the fence to eat.
-
thanks for the pics 270.....What do you guys think will happen to that cow? can she survive
-
shell survive, there was one up there that had a broken front leg that was completely limp. i asked one of the wildlife guys why they dont put her out, and he said she was like that last year, and came back with a calf this year.... they are alot tougher then you think apparently
-
Awsome pics guys! :) Keep them coming. Is there more elk moving in there every day? How much longer will the bulls have there racks? I have always want to go to oak creek, but just have gone yet.
-

WOW thats amazing that that cow was like that last year!!! Maybe she will be fine, I hope so. I think that is the Big 6x6 that I saw there. He has really nice swords 8). Yes there are more and more showing up, give it about another week or two and they should be done. Don't know exactly when they drop. But I have sen them with their antlers in late January. I think Feduary is when they drop em though.
-
Sweet pics thanks for sharing
-
Not sure what to think about that calf with spots? Why would a cow have a calf that small this time of year? Early or Late?
-
must have got bred really late......
-
Probably one of those cows that get tagged in November when a few bulls are still feeling rutty. There seems to always be one or two of them. Normally they are coyote food, but they might make it in the feeding station. There are a TON of elk not down yet. There are alot of bulls that have pulled back up high. Depends on the weather I guess whether or not they will come down. They mostly shed in March and April.
-
did any one see the number they have been counting?
