Title: TNW AERO VS Kel-Tec S2K
Post by: Mongo Hunter on February 11, 2015, 11:57:40 AM
So months back someone I know who fancy's himself a survivalist (not really) showed me a picture of the TNW. I pretty much dismissed it and forgot about it. Later I was at Cabelas and saw 5 of these odd looking guns in the Library. I pulled one down and sure enough it was what he showed me.

I got to say this thing felt like a legit weapon!

I have considered buying a survival type rifle for a while, mostly for giggles but they have practical uses as well. Im not a fan of .22LR for survival but 9mm I can get behind. I liked the IDEA of the S2K, but it felt a bit on the flimsy side and a bit crude, lots of plastic and folding sights that get a meh reaction (I understand the new gens are better however)

The TNW though felt really nice, uses Glock mags just like the S2K, and gets small like the S2K, but felt much better built and I can ad optics much easier. also the TNW uses AR furniture that can be swapped. and the best part I can find them!

So just out of curiosity anyone have some range time with one or checked these out as well? thoughts? opinions?

My only real gripe is no iron sights.

Many dislike the ergonomics of the S2K.  The TNW seems very AR-like.  This is a good review of the TNW:

I had my eye on a TNW pistol in .45 acp until the ATF waffled on the Sig brace. May do it anyway and just pay for the stamp.  There are many similar guns in 9mm, but TNW makes one of the few .45s.
