Title: What happened to Roger's Taxidermy in Lakewood? Closed? Where's my stuff?
Post by: Fargo on February 19, 2015, 07:59:11 PM: Long story short, Roger supposedly has a skull and hide done for me. I was moving so I dropped them off in June before we left, made and paid for shipping arrangement for him to ship the hide and skull to me when he was done. After many phone calls to him he tells me they're done and he's going to ship them out. Needless to say they never came, and now he doesn't answer his phone and a family member from Tacoma tells me his shop is now empty. Does anyone have any info on what has happened, or what I should do?

Post by: duckmen1 on February 19, 2015, 08:06:20 PM: We delt with this clown trying to get our hides back for two years. Two deer hides and an elk. Had hundreds paid. Our last visit he said screw you and you will never see those hides again. And there was a lot of foul language on his part. He is a drug user big time drunk as well as a big time gambler that looses his but off. I know a lot about him and he is one crooked individual. Saw many others have the same problem with this clown. That's why I only use reputable taxidermist now.

As for reporting it to the police, although he has reportedly done this to others and his reputation is poor, I can assure you that it is a civil arrangement (contract) and not something the police investigate. I would recommend contacting the BBB and the AG's office. The other option would be an attorney..

I have heard time and time again to not take animals to Roger's. I would second the earlier post about Mike White at Nature's Way for a reputable taxi.
