I'm not sure of the name of the public land by 9 mile (The place by the rocks withe the smiley faces painted on them) where we can shoot, but I found a walkie talkie there today. It was on, and still had battery, so it couldn't have been there too long.

Did you pick it up and say, "Dude, your buddy forgot his walkie - Rogeer Wilco...out!" into it :chuckle:
:dunno: Where there is one there is usually another!
-
I did try using it to see if someone on the other side would pick up. My brother and I were the only ones currently there, so I doubt they realized they even left it.

lost a yellow cobra up there two weekends ago.. must be a popular drop site lol

This was a cammo midland. It must be a popular drop site for something besides garbage.

I dropped mine from truck  not far from lake Keechelus -Midland last year ..... I hope to find it when I go there this summer ....it seems like Midlands are jumpy little creatures .

They must be. I saw the same set in Cabelas the other day on one of my regular "You don't have this gear, and you don't need this gear, but you want this gear" trips. They were $55. That may not be a lot compared to a lot of hunting gear, but it's at least the equivalent to 1 1/2 boxes of 30-06, or 50 rounds of .22, or even a 10% down payment on a scentlock jacket!
