My dad got a new sneak boat, so we decided we needed to take my lab out and see how well she retrieved off it. This was her first try.

When the dog was getting back on the boat i could just imagine a disaster. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: cool tho

My dog stays home when I use the layouts. Potential to end up in the drink is high.
-
Her getting in was actually super easy! He has a dog step that attached to the front, but is not really needed and just adds weight.

When the dog gets to the boat, cup your hand around the back of his head for support. The dog will use your hand to leverage himself into the boat.
Much less work for you and less likely to flip a small boat.

That's why the AWS was popular with hunters so long ago before the 16 ft Jon boat and outboard.
