I've been waiting since January. That comment was pointed toward the mention of "Back Door" to begin ;) I agree though, today the WDFW officially starts to drag us along on another roller coaster ride of "Did we or didn't we draw already?". I just asked my wife about the back door.... Draw not run yet. I guess she could've said not selected.
As RadSav well knows...just because she (WDFW) has said "No" 17 times in a row, doesn't really give you a good chance of her (WDFW) saying "Yes" the next time around ;)

Being that the results were posted on Monday the 10th last year, IYES, the app period is way too long. Same with the other permits, I posted a comment about this very thing when they had the proposals/comments on the wdfw website.expecthope that they will be posted on Monday the 9th this year. Fingers crossed. Still doesn't leave much time to plan, especially if you are trying to get out during spring break. Would be nice if they moved the application period back to January 31st, so that spring bear and last years harvest reports were due at the same time. :twocents:

After all our history with WDFW it's amazing how many remain optimistic they could accomplish something on time. With their dedication to sportsmen these days I'm surprised they draw more than a week before the season opener. :tung:And you wonder why you get "Not Selected" every year :chuckle:

That's 1 in 8000 chances of getting not selected for deer. Imagine if you hit those odds for you to draw a tag. It would be a good one.

All we have is the number of applications in 2014, and that was 3,664. That was for 697 spring bear permits. But of course this year permit numbers were increased, so odds should be slightly better.

My buddy and I drew Dayton
I drew Dayton as well. I should have known as soon as i scheduled back surgery for March 18th I was guaranteed to get drawn.

I drew 49 north, right across the road. I've hunted turkey in 121 a few times. Never been for bear though.
