Post by: longwalker on March 09, 2015, 07:47:53 PM: I've for a couple salt licks and cameras on some decent bulls. As of last week they were still packing. We'll see what this weekend looks like. I dont get real excited until about the 3rd week of March

Post by: fishnfur on March 09, 2015, 09:21:53 PM: I bumped 5 elk today at 100 yds and glassed them as they went over a bench in a clearcut. No antlers in that group but I couldn't confirm if any were bulls.

No bones today, but my dog had a great time.

Post by: dreamunelk on March 10, 2015, 10:05:13 PM: Seen lots of bulls not packing. Just have to find the areas where bulls hang out in bachelor groups or alone. If they are hanging out with cows and on good forage there is still enough sexual stimulation to keep them on. So quit watching pasture elk. Hit the dark and deep, where most can not see wildlife because of the forest and you may find some good sheds!

I also put eyes on a big one still packing....have started to see a couple with out horns tho..still waiting as I hate spreading the sheds out

Post by: lewy on March 26, 2015, 06:48:18 AM: Seen 3 rosie bulls March 19th, all shed out. One had 2" of new growth already. Ended up finding one side of one of the bulls, decent 6. Seen about a 300-315" 6 the same day still packing, funny how much they differ even in the same area.

Post by: Grit dog on March 28, 2015, 10:47:46 PM: Got a group of 6 bulls that frequent the property and they've beaten the crap out of most every pecker pole tree, ripped up rotten cedar stumps, shredded some fence, tried to kick the dog's @ss, rolled a pile of log rounds around like lawn bowling and been sparring for months and so far a couple broken antlers and one that has dropped one. Seems pretty late this year for the back yard herd.
