Well you guys got it done for deer no problem. I wish you the best of luck and hope to see success photos. You seem to have a good attitude about your hunts in your posts so I am sure you will enjoy the hunt whether you bag and tag one or not. good luck.

I's start looking a week before you come over. Kinda doesn't really make sense to me to start looking a couple months in advance when you can't kill one. Maybe that's me compared to others and live a lot closer to the unit their hunting in. Snow could be a problem too. It's still here and will be here up high, in the draws and on the dark old logging roads.

I spent a week running around the woods with Steve a few years back. We saw 3 bears, bobcat, turkey and lots of deer. Had a great time. I need to get back out there sometime soon.

Steep and timber. The place I'm thinking about for you would be perfect for your gator.

Shot distance could be from very close to hundreds of yards from the logging roads.

this has taken a left turn lol

Get up high as you can go, glass slow in clear cuts, and be patient. Where you find the lush green grasses is where the bears will be! Grasses and stumps, bring a predator call, and you will be in the action. Hope the best for ya!

Ignore these guys. I'll help you even with my thongs and socks...
You knew this was going to go astray anyhow, when I got involved, I hope......... :chuckle:

I have a pretty solid policy of avoiding going to anywhere with a population above 10,000 unless I absolutely need to. In those cases I ensure that the shortest amount of time possible is spent there.
