Title: Where's my north skagit hunt wa winners?

You will get something in the mail, usually have to go to Laconner mid April to get gate codes and maps.

I don't have a map but the boundary is basically 9 to baker river and 20 to nooksack river in skagit county and where it is in whatcom, whatcom is the boundary

Make the most of your trip up. Took me 20 evenings before I found the bear I wanted. It was fun seeing all the wildlife in the area. Lots of critters behind those closed gates.

I have hunted up that way a few times but I'm not sure of the boundaries so I don't know if I've hunted any of it.

Yes .. I thought about you for a minute :chuckle: But as you know when you post stuff like this the emails pour in :yike: My friends daughter has the tag .. I just told them where he is ...If I see another I will let you know ..I am not sure whats even open ..they changed some stuff but he is definitely in the unit ... :tup:

Post by: Wea300mag on May 17, 2015, 07:23:05 PM: For those with tags, check out the 190 road between mile marker 4 and 5, lots of poo, peals, etc. If it was me, I would park at the landing just past mile marker 4 and walk the main road and all the side roads up from there and hit them again back to your rig :tup:

at the meeting for the Monroe unit last year they asked us to take pictures of the stomach contents to help validate the need for the spring bear hunt. :dunno:

They didn't ask that of the Monroe guys this year (that I can remember at least). I'd probably throw some tree bark into the gut pile :chuckle:. "Yup, its definitely needed!"

Post by: fishinandhuntin on June 08, 2015, 03:24:56 PM: I got this bear a couple weeks ago on memorial day. Thanks to my buddy Dave for spottin it and enjoying the experience with me. The belly was absolutely stuffed- about 50% with cambium material.

Whoa! I didn't see that on the screen pic until you mentioned it. That's awesome! Any shot of the teeth? Mine was a whopping 3 years old. :chuckle: :'(
