I applied for my yearly prference point only options for deer and elk yesterday and screwed up on elk. I got my deer in fine but somehow when i put in the elk instead of applying for bull elk point it ended up as antlerless. Of course I didnt notice until after i hit the submit button. My question to anyone that may know is does it matter what hunt option you choose for preference points? My understanding is colorado does not have a bunch of categories like washington, bull, quality or antlerless etc. If you apply for elk it just puts another point under elk. anyone know for sure? I printed out the application correction form just in case but thought i would see what you guys think first.

You are fine. Colorado does not have different points for each sex. All under elk point. I have done it that way for years. Kinda nice not having to front the fee for Bull as it is more expensive!

Dode is right. If you're just purchasing a point in Colorado, you're a fool not to apply for a cow. :twocents:

Right on thanks. I like to apply for the bull every year so the extra money is hidden from the wife. She still does not know we get refunded. :chuckle:
