Youth opener should be good.
-
Three Tom's struttin for the hens just east of town here today.
-
I saw some Toms strutting today in Klickitat County.
-
Turkeys getting active or hunters getting active? :chuckle:
-
I'm extremely stoked about this years turkey season! Been driving everyone nuts practicing my calls
-
Good reminder. I need to break out my mouth calls and get tuned up. I'm going to give it a try this year on opening day.

Boy since last Saturday the birds have been Off The Hook!!!!! Goobling everywhere. The youth hunt should be very good!!! Seen two toms yesterday full strut in the middle of of highway just out of town. Big blue heads and real stupid.
-
Only a few more weeks. My wife even put a ban on turkey calling in the house.
-
Seen a westside bird strutting, 2 actually... there starting to roam around.....
-
The breeding is definitely on now.
-
Yep it is. Just saw old tom turkey out with a date with a hen. If you know what I mean....... :chuckle:
-
Right now

That's good to see! Trying to get my 10yr old his first next weekend near CleElum. Big bummer that the youth hunt is Easter weekend again, makes it tough. Might hit the NE later in the season.

December?
I kind of crack up at these threads. Toms have been strutting for months and they gobble when they fly down on Christmas morning :dunno:
-
Not me, I've seen elk bugle in December while bow hunting for deer in the mountains. Doesn't hold a candle to when they do it in the deep dark nasty while backpacked in during early bow with a tag in my hand. But post away negativedude.
-
Who's negative?
-
I've been putting public land birds to bed almost every night since mid march. They have been gobbling every night and prob long before that but idk. But I can attest that their gobbling has really increased about 10 fold in the last 2 weeks! Regardless I'm super stoked about this season!!!

Sorry, my bad, thought you were making fun of us for getting excited about opening day. No worries.

Nah man, if anything I am furious because I have to be out of town next week :bash:
