Hello, not trying to derail your thread but I think there is one exactly like this already? Check in the elk section , there is a bunch of info or opinions on it. If your new to elk hunting,basically the west side you don't have to wait for permits to kill big bulls, the east side is easier to hunt but for the most part you are stuck hunting spikes if you don't draw a special permit. East, spike over the counter.
whops, I didn't know someone did it already. yeah I am VERY new to elk hunting so I'm interested to hear peoples thought on it. thanks for commenting.

no prob! You'll find plenty of opinions and help on this site. When the regs come out and it's special permit time, I'm sure you will have more questions, just ask!!
