do youth points carry over to when he turns adult? are all points the same? mike wTo be precise points in a youth category never go away but once he is no longer able to apply as a youth they are worthless. Points never transfer from category to category.

Can I buy points for my grandson without hunter ed? He's only 1 now but I'd very happily pay the fees for 12 years to be able to see him draw a fun opportunity for anything: deer, elk, moose, etc.
You can for oils because they don't require buying a license but deer, elk, bear require purchasing a license/passing hunters Ed being able to hunt.

And there only for the youth moose? so accumulating points for 15 years or whatever wouldn't put them ahead of the curve for the moose oil adult tag? :dunno:

Didn't realize you could start building OIL points without a hunting license. Wish I could have got in on that as a kid. I would have 26 points in every category right now. :yike: But now that I know that I will be creating accounts for all of my future kids within weeks of them being born and start building OIL points. At least that way by the time they are in their late teens/20's they will have a pile of points already. :chuckle: :chuckle:
You would only have max points....which is not 26
