Good luck in the draw.

I've never applied for Nevada, how much are bonus points and not having any points, is it worth it to start applying at 45 years of age or will I be 100 before I draw any good tags? I would only be interested in Mule deer and Elk. thanks

:yeah: Dont you have to buy a license to put in like Idaho?

I wouldn't want to put in now, just maybe start collecting points. I know in Wyoming I buy points only some years without buying the license.

I do the same. I looked at Nevada breifly and it looked to me as though you have to buy a license like Idaho before you can put in for tags or points. Maybe I'm missing something, but I sure dont want to spend $150 on a license just be able to buy a point for deer or elk.
Somebody that applies in Nevada can chime in and help us out at anytime.

Are the points next to free? How many years does it typically take to draw a tag? That seems like robbery to me.

Pts cost $15-20. I drew an antelope tag with five pts. And a deer tag with 7. I thought it was worth it.

I guess if you put in for deer, elk, antelope and sheep, then your points would average about $60 per species per year, which isn't horrible I guess. If you're only putting in for one species then you points would cost you around $180 per year. To each their own I guess, but it seems to rich for my pocketbook.
Good luck to everyone else who put in!
