Well there isn't any other place to put it so here goes. I finally get the new hunting guide, manual ,rule book or the thing that is supposed to put us in that inevitable legal battalion of people they call Washington state hunters , that know how , when , and where to hunt so that we don't become a fish n feathers cadets trophy,as you can imagine ive come across the only thing in the woods that im afraid of, and that's confusion !! So anyways ( MOOSE ) IS THE TOPIC IM TRYING TO GET TO HERE, in the book of hunting manners im looking at g.m.u. 121 huckleberry, for moose it lists area A and area B , here we are again!, at the what the H-E double hockey sticks is this , there isn't enough pictures to keep me interested enough to keep looking, what is this, east west ,or north south, open closed or free parking area or back to that slack jawed yokel at the permit parking area, multiple weapons or not ,dmmmm I cant find this stuff so I turn to the masters of washinton hunting lore, any input is appreciated greatly !Im trying to figure out the options for archery in that area in case I hit the hardest hunting lottery I can afford,a moose tag , I literally have more moose than deer up at my place so trying to understand this more.

I elect you as the new king of Hunting Washington.

One is early and one is late, that's the only difference. So decide if you want to hunt the rut in October, or in possible snow in November.
-
What is the question?
-
Oh, and you can hunt with whatever you like: modern firearm, archery, muzzleloader, handgun, crossbow, shotgun.
-
Cryder translation:
Hey does anyone know the difference between huckleberry A and B and if I can hunt with archery gear?
The way he said it was more entertaining.:)
-
Love it when people worry about putting In For the "right" oil tag like they need to make there plans for the hunt as soon as they put in for it. Just tack the regs up to the wall, take about 5 good steps back and throw a dart at the moose page. What ever one you hit put in for that one. It's about as good if not a better strategy than trying to scientifically study what tag your sure to draw this year
-
Interesting post to say the least, just draw any of the moose tags then ask the questions. And by the way, the best moose tag last year had 1,132,670 names in the hat, for 21 tags, may the force be with you!

I do understand the impossible odds , and I do know the any weapon rule,i just didn't know if my land was in or out , or what time of year, it might be in or out . Thanks so much for the responses , with all these critters in my sights almost daily a guys gotta try for peats sake !! I guess I read that article about how good moose meat is and I have dreams of moose meat spaghetti and meat balls dancing in my head, like I said they are right there, and I have this thing against outlaws in the woods , wich is something I will never be, so for now ill just watch them and enjoy there every morning weeeeeezing or what ever you call that ungodly alarm clock every morning at about 630am.And another thing my neibor got his tag years ago and took a monster bull on the first day , he has that darn rack outside on his barn and I cant stop looking at that either, he tells me forget about it after he tells me how good the meat was !!As for the regs. pamphlet, its just not the look forward to thing it used to be I geuss, just keeps tightening the noose on our hunting freedoms, but this is were I chose to live so I will try harder every year to fit in ,,,in some way I geuss, as we all do.This piece of land I got is right in the middle of a huge piece of state land and im new to it and trying to conform to the rules up there,my cabin is actually right on the boarder and im surrounded by state land I heard it was a easement for a rock quarry for the state and it has been that way for 92 years, needless to say a lot of people have tried trespassing and breaking in but law enforcement has been great about it.Last but not least it great to see the any deer up there for archery instead of 4 point or bigger , big surprise but im not going to starve this year !!

Buy the gov. Tag. I think it was around 30,000 this year. Problem solved

30,000 HUH ? Need your lawn mowed ?

I just go after two points, no draw odds and its OTC..
And there are tons of two points....

Grab a partner with 10 points, worked for me 2 years in a row. JAE and I drew 49 Deg. moose last year and hit unit 8 AZ early archery this year. Looking for someone with 10 pts next year for sheep :chuckle:

I absolutely agree with the gangeing up on points , against fish and feathers but ill try not to get my self started on that ,I went up to the property for the first time in like 4 months and right on my door step a pile of single style un wrapped tootsie rolls , Im not kidding right on my door step and it was like a week old if that . I took a short walk and I mean a short walk to check on the crime rate at the tree stand and there was another very fresh pile of tootsies !! Well ill tell you guys that might be headed out for early scouting,,, Don't forget your tick repellant, just ask the dancing, screeming girl named Dave I brought along , 200 yards in he was covered, and asking what the H-E ,double hockey sticks are these !! I didn't tell him but I just said hold still, total tally 7 in just the first little bit,, So I guess that's just another reason to stay out of 121 ,but there is no deer there any ways so that new reg. don't mean nutn honey ! :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:
