That one was narrow wasn't it? I can't remember. I need one the wife and I can fit in and for her comfort a floor is needed for the first adventure I plan to take her on.

I have slept two people in it before no problem. It just narrows down towards the feet but is wider and taller at the head. It has a floor as well

A 2 person tent will not be comfortable for 2 people 90% of the time. Most of the time they're too small. If it's you and your wife, then maybe you'd be alright...but don't expect room to stretch out.
What's your budget?
Have a look on Sierra Trading Post. Often times, there are decent deals there. Usually not top of the line tents, but it doesn't sound like that's what you're after.
Unless you're paying the price of higher end tents, you'll probably be in the 5-6 pound range for a 2 person tent on the lower end of the budget scale.

Good option if you want the "A frame" design but over $200.00

I think you'd have a lot more structural integrity with a tent using the poles it was supposed to use. Now...you could use hiking poles probably if you're hiking with them. That's a good dual purpose usage. I always use poles.

Poles aren't that heavy or space consuming. I'd much rather have poles with me than have to hack up sticks or rely on finding a place to pitch where you can tie it up in the trees.

Good to know. I have no hiking poles now and not sure I will, so I will drop the thought of getting rid of the tent poles and use the ones it comes with. Thanks!
