Local archery Shop was broken into weds. He lost all his hoyt carbon bows, a bowtech boss, and all his prime bows. If you see someone with bows for sale let grizzly archery know.
-
Wow that's terrible.
-
Are new bows like guns and have serial #s or some way of IDing the stolen bows?
-
If the shop kept the paperwork, yes! Though they are easily removed most of the time. Should show up in Canada in a few weeks!
I think we should bring back public stoning for drug related/motivated theft.
-
They took the papers on the bows and he already trash the boxs so no serial #
-
Poor mike :bash: Hope Those Worthless Trash Get caught!
-
I hope he has insurance to cover the loss! Can't imagine trying to eek out a living with an archery shop and then having that happen. :(
-
Did he keep invoices/packing slips? Should be seials there?
-
:bash: That's to bad...sounds like someone knew what they where doing. Random tweekers wouldn't take paper work.
-
Not sure why shops are so eager to trash their bow boxes. Bow comes in with a box it should go out with a box. I even see a lot of shops that trash the manual packages too. Never understood it!
That is not to say I blame the guys at Grizzly. I really like those guys! Absolutely terrible. I'm sure he has insurance, but that doesn't make up for the feeling of being violated. Or all the time it will take to go through the insurance hoops and ladders.
-
Manufacturer should have record of bows shipped to him. Invoices should show ser# also. Mike is a great guy sorry to hear this happened to him. I always stop in when I'm over there to chat and support his business.

Empty boxes take up a lot of space :dunno:

This is my thought as well. The manufactures he bought the bows from should have the serial numbers for the bows that he received from them.
It seems really weird to me that they would take the paper work from what I am sure was different shipments of different bows from different companies. That the people who took them would have taken that much time to try to find and remove that much paper work from the shop to cover there tracks.
Bum deal I have only met the people there a couple times but they seems like nice folks.

Mike doesn't even have room for the bows in that little shop let alone boxes. I think the paper work is all attached to the bows hanging on the rack if I remember correctly. Can't keep it with the box if the box is in the dump. Mike is a great guy! We all need to support our local shops like Grizzly. He should be fine, he has me for a customer after all. Seems like I pay his lease some months :chuckle:

I was there and helped him secure the door for the night video surveillance said in and out in 15 seconds
-
Mikes shop is right next to the gas station. Is it possible their cameras could have caught something? :dunno:
-
Just stopped by his shop to BS with him last weekend while I was on that side of the mountains. Always try to support the small shops. Hopefully Mikes insurance will cover his loss.

Needs to go get a 100+lb chessie that sleeps in the shop

:yeah: made the mistake of trying to pet a chessie in the back of a truck once, they're not Labs!
-
Their nice when the master is around but when no one is home it's like having a Rottweiler in protection mode
-
Seems bow thefts are on the rise. I guess the cost of new bows these days is motivation for the crack heads and greedy.

Look for cheap deals on AT
